<Virtual Space>
나의 일러스트 작품에는 항상 주인공의 눈이 일반적이지 않으며 그림에서 볼 수 있는 스토리가 현실세계에 있을까 하는 의문점이 들도록 한다. 소망하는 것, 희망하는 것, 생각 등 추상적인 것을 시각적으로 옮기다 보면 유토피아가 생기기 때문이다. <Virtual Space> 시리즈는 대표작 총 5점으로, 각 주제에 따라 볼 수 있는 동물 또는 아이들,
또는 공존한다.
My illustration always asks the question that the main character's eyes are not general and that the stories in the real world. Looking forward to seeing abstract things like want, hope, and thinking, creates Utopia. The <Virtual Space> series is a total of five representative works of representative, representing the animals or children that can be viewed according to each topic.
<못생기지 않아>, 2015, 전예원
오리는 못생겼을까? (특히 천둥오리) 어린시절 동물원에 놀러 가 봤던 천둥오리는 너무 못생겨서 놀랬었다. 동화 속에서 보던 천둥오리들이 아니었다. 시간이 지날 수록 '미운오리새끼'와 같은 동화라던지, 사람들의 인식 속 오리는 너무 밉다는 것을 느끼게 되었다. 사실 그 아이들은 굉장히 열심히 살고, 멋있는 아이들인데. 상상 속 예쁜 천둥오리들을 나타내고자 하였다.
Is duck ugly? Especially, when I was young, the thunder duck, which I went to visit at the zoo, was so ugly that I was shocked. It was not the thunder of the thunder I saw in fairy tales. Over time, I realized that fairy tales like ' ugly duckling ' and ' duck ' were too hateful. In fact, they live very hard, and they are wonderful kids. I wanted to express the beautiful dull-witted wings.
